Is a war raging on the internet between hairstylists and the new eSalon.com website? It seems to be a lot of hubbub going on around the topic. I was always under the impression that free enterprise in the United States of America meant just that, free enterprise for anyone that could come up with a product or service that was sale-able to the public and a public that was free to purchase such product and/or service.
I guess the problem is that now the hairstylists will have to come up with a way to keep their customers coming back and not even wanting to try out the new eSalon.com. One of my nieces is a hairstylists/cosmetologists (I hope I’m saying this correctly) , and I have no doubt in my mind that she will find a way to keep her customers coming back for the service that she provides for them.
Most of my adult life, once I knew what economics was all about, I always thought that keeping yous patrons was what it was all about. When one company goes into business for one thing, and then another company goes into business for the same thing, it was up to the individual business owners to figure out what their individual niche was that would keep their patrons coming back.
