Stacy: Good morning! Tripp slept pretty good last night, once he finally went to sleep. He would just lay there and look around and moan a little I think to get my attention. So I climbed in bed with him and sang him his good night song and rubbed circles on his forehead with my thumb. (One of you guys told me that trick right after Tripp’s accident and I have been doing it ever since, works great to calm him down. Thank you) Well right after Tripp was born I tried singing him lullabies and could never remember the words so I just made one up, wrote it down for Bill to memorize and we still sing it to this day. I will sing it for you, I know y’all are very excited. Ha ha. It is set to Hush little baby and you guys know I have a very country voice.
“Hush little Trippster, don’t you cry, Mommy wrote you a lullaby.
This lullaby was made for sleep, so I don’t want to hear a peep.
Dream of things sweet and fun, your little life has just begun.
Dream of cars, boats and planes, no little boys dream the same.
Mommy loves you with all her heart, now it’s time for Dadda’s part.
(Then Bill would sing the same verses till the end)
Dadda loves you with all his might, now it’s time to say Good night.”
Tripp is watching Cars this morning, I was holding him but I think he wanted to lay flat for a little while. His Babies Can’t Wait Therapist will be here in a few minutes, so we gotta get ready. Thank you for all your prayers. Love you all.
