Updates 8/10/13 – 2 On Tripp Halstead

My computer is messing up on WordPress, so I am going to have to make as many posts as there are articles and updates on Tripp each day. Hope you don’t mind.

Tripp Halstead Updates
Stacy: Someone just reposted this picture on FB and it totally caught me off guard. How sweet is that little face?? He just turned two and we were in our cabin on the cruise ship. (One month before the accident) He was giving his daddy a kiss. I miss those kisses so much. Tears are just streaming down my face right now remembering that cruise. He laughed all day everyday. Ok, going to stop now or I will never get to sleep. Happy thoughts, happy thoughts! Right now I am going to cover him in kisses and just be patient cause I know one day he will be able to give them back. Sorry for two posts so close together but I just really wanted to share this picture tonight. Love you all and good night.

    Tripp Halstead Updates
    Stacy: Tripp finally settled down. He has had a rough day. A lot of arching, a lot of moaning and a lot of gas. Once again I tried everything I could to make him feel better, gas drops, ibuprofen, warm bath, and holding him. So we put him on his belly and he finally went to sleep and stopped moaning. Poor little baby. One good thing is that we hooked up his video monitor, so I am sitting in the living room visiting with friends and staring at his monitor. He is laying in his room on his therapy table. This is a huge deal for me. Whoo hoo. So I hope he has a great night and if he needs to stay like this, so be it. He always slept on his belly before the accident, so I love seeing him lay like that. I might just have to climb up there and snuggle with his cute little self. Thank you for your prayers. Love you all.

Well..long time ago I was like in Tripps condition I had an accident n had a brain aneu      rysm when I was 9 yrs old..n like tripp the doc didn’t expect I wld survive but with prayer my power to live n with the unconditional luv of my mom..stubborness of nit giving up I survived. ..I had to learn to walk..talk..swallow..eat..play all..I was able to gain it bk.Back in the 80s therapy wasn’t available as oupatient n my parents cldnt send me away to a rehab ob my own..my mom took me n gave me 24/7 care ..Stacy u remind of my mom u dnt give up u..r the only one who can b his rock n make him go thru this ..believe me he will look bk n remember my mom never gave up on me.. Stacy always remember when u think he is struggling or he’s not getting better..he is ur his strength. .n I’m always talkin to my mom about tripp n u n ur family how u helping him get thru this n mom cries n tells me he’s going to make it cuz his mom wont give up on him..u n ur husband n all ur family strength will make him get stronger everyday.. thank u stacy ur setting the example how a parent shld b…
