All of us go through times when life just gets us down. If we are lucky, these periods only last for a little while. However, there are times when these periods last for days. Nobody is immune to them. If we are honest that is. Though, I am sure that there are probably some people that would never admit to having any times when life gets them down.
Unfortunately, I have been having one of those times since my last post on April 29th. Until I actually looked at the date of the last post, I thought that it had only been three or four days. When I saw that it has been over 10 days, I was totally shocked. Now I have to figure out how I lost so many days without realizing it.
My doctors told me, a little over a year ago, that I was in the beginning stages of dementia. When I heard it, I thought, “OK, so I am beginning to forget things, no big deal.” Now that this has happened, I am beginning to wonder if it is indeed becoming a big deal. My next move is going to be marking things off on a calendar. Hopefully, then I can keep track of when I do each activity, to make sure that I do the things that I’m supposed to do.
I am giving you this information as an example to show you how you too might be able to work out a solution to a similar problem like mine. If you notice that things that should be getting done are not getting done, then you may consider using the calendar idea too. It doesn’t mean that you have dementia like I do, just that you are wanting to make sure that what needs to be done is getting done.
